POSTPARTUM AND NEWBORN CARE

• In-home meeting a month before due date ​​

• Help with the emotional and physical recovery after birth

• Assist with newborn care such as diapering, bathing, feeding and soothing techniques

• Offer breastfeeding support

• Assist family with adjusting to new roles 

• Help with sleep shaping 

• Offer household organizational support - ​​​

  • Overnight shifts: infant laundry, tidying nursery, washing bottle/pump parts, freezing/organizing breast milk, preparing bottles

  • Daytime shifts: food prep/preparing light meals, grocery shopping, running errands, family laundry, tidying, loading/emptying dishwasher, help with siblings, plus above 

• Give referrals to local resources such as parenting classes, pediatricians, lactation support, etc.
