BIRTH DOULA SERVICE

During Pregnancy

• Up to two prenatal visits to talk about how your pregnancy is going, any previous births, your thoughts about the birth, any questions or concerns  you or your partner have, as well as create a birth plan that will help us see how we can work best together (ideally around 32 and 36 weeks)

• On-call availability from your 38th week until the baby is born

  
  

During Labor and Birth

• Labor support in your home if desired

  
  

• Help managing labor pain with methods such as: position changes, relaxation, breathing, massage, hydrotherapy, vocalization and TENS unit

  
  

• Constant physical and emotional support

  
  

• Providing relief for your partner

  
  

• Ensuring everyone is comfortable

  
  

After Birth

• Any help needed getting comfortable after the birth

  
  

• Assistance with breastfeeding

  
  

• Support for up to 2 hours after delivery

  
  

• Photographs/Video

  
  

• Visit at home within two weeks to see how you are doing, discuss your birth story, give any breastfeeding support and get any feedback from you about my role as your doula
